IO-Quest is a non-toxic, absorbable iodine made according to the instructions of Edgar Cayce. Cayce stated that there are only four primary building blocks in the body - water, salt, soda and iodine – and that the body can make virtually everything from these four elements. He often said that three or four drops of Atomidine (his name for the formulation) three or four times a week were all you needed to stay healthy.

One can quite easily tell the difference between regular iodine products and IO-Quest by putting an equal number of drops of each in water. The regular iodine will turn the water brownish, while the Cayce formulation will leave the water clear.

IO-Quest is completely safe for usage. When the thyroid becomes saturated (has received enough) IO-Quest, it is absorbed by other tissues in the body, and whatever cannot be utilized is excreted in the urine. At this point the urine may turn a bright yellow, similar to water-soluble B-vitamins that are excreted.

While the thyroid is the most important user of iodine virtually every tissue in the healthy body will show trace levels of iodine. The thyroid requires iodine to manufacture hormones. If there is not enough iodine in the diet, and thereby the thyroid, the thyroid cannot make enough thyroid hormone. (T4 has 4 iodine molecules, and T3 has 3 iodine molecules.)

Iodine’s functions include:

* Coating allergenic proteins to render them harmless
* As an anti-cancer and anti-autoimmune disease agent
* As an antiseptic. For example, iodine deactivates all biological, and most chemical, poisons in the stomach.

Recommended dosage is 1-2 drops daily. For therapeutic use begin Monday with 1 drop and work up to 5 drops on Friday, rest the weekend and begin again the following Monday.
